Two new signings for DCU Mercy

DCU Mercy make two new signings ahead of the upcoming 2020/2021 women’s superleague basketball season.

DCU Mercy have just landed two new signings for their Superleague roster from the Sports changes life programme.

Roxy Barahman

Roxy will study in the DCU school of medicine and has the following accolades:

2019-20 (Senior): Unanimous first team All-Ivy League. First Yale player to earn back-to-back first team All-Ivy honours since 2013/2014. Roxy finished fourth on Yale’s career assists list with 360 assists. She led the Ivy League in steals with an average of 2.5 steals per game. Third in Ivy League scoring with 17.1 points per game and 3.5 assist per game.

Roxy was the only Ivy League player in the league’s top three in points, steals, and assists. Roxy had season high’s of 29 points in a win at Penn. Season high 10 rebounds in win at North Carolina. Season-high eight assists in win vs Fresno State and a Season-high eight steals in win vs Brown.

Jasmine James

Jasmine will study for a Business Masters in DCU and played at the university of Memphis.
Jasmine has played in the American Athletic Conference in the USA; One of the most competitive leagues in American College Basketball which features the University of Connecticut, the most successful women’s basketball program in America.

In 2018-19 (Senior year) Jasmine gathered the following accolades:
vs UConn, 12 points, 3 rebounds, 6 for 8 from the floor in 30 minutes.
vs Cincinatti, 6 points & 1 rebound in 14 minutes.
vs Temple, 10 points, 2 rebounds shooting 5 for 9 in under 30 minutes.
vs UAB, 12 points, 5 rebounds, shooting 50% from the 3 point line.
